One venue, several familiar names: The Rakaia Memorial Community Hall is also commonly called the Rakaia Hall or Rakaia Community Centre. These names all refer to the same venue at 55 Elizabeth Avenue.

A place of remembrance
The current hall opened on 8 April 1956 after Rakaia’s former town hall was destroyed by fire. Its lobby preserves the local rolls of honour and memorial dedication, keeping an important part of Rakaia’s history visible for future generations.
